DIY | How to Change a black scruffy door

Hello my loves, when Mike and I first moved in to this house it was in ruins, everything needed done,  painting in every room, fixing doors, fences outside you name it we had to fix it. Our front door was another thing - I just couldn't look at it for another second, so we popped to B&Q and got some paint and materials to transform it.

Here is a before :

The black paint was all pealing off and was so scruffy looking, Mike Sanded it all down and firstly applied a primer he then let it dry and then he applied two coats of ronseal gloss in the shade spring green.

Sorry about all the shadows - we don't normally get nice weather and the day I want to take some pictures the sun shines!! I am so pleased with the results - our wee home is finally coming together :)


Things you need to transform you door :

• Sandpaper
• Primer
• Gloss/Paint
• Paint brush

Its so easy + if we can do it so can you :)

Taking things for granted

Hello my loves , when Nicky + Isla were visiting Nicky commented a-lot on our scenery and because we live here we kind of take it for granted and don't see its beauty day in day out, when in fact we live in a very beautiful country!

Mike and I had to run a few errands this morning in town and on the way back we snapped a few pics as Nicky requested. :)

We don't often get nice sunny weather so we have to enjoy them while we can + even snapped an outfit pic in the multi story :P

What iv been loving | Lighting + Art

Hello Lovelies, Since moving in to our new house at the end of January I have been so obsessed with looking at new things and picking up new bits for our new home.

I love a mix of styles but the main area of our house is pretty contemporary, I love odd things..or different,  I pick things not a lot of people would have and that makes my favourite place TKmax :D

Dunelm mill and Next are definitely  on point  this year - The lighting is to die for!!!

                                    I love these bulbs so so much - suit the shade down to a T.

When Isla & Nicky came to stay | coffee dates + shopping dates

Hello my lovelies, I feel I haven't blogged in forever...well I haven't really, I have been so super busy recently and just haven't had time to get any blog time in.

This weekend we had two very special people come stay with us - which was an absolute pleasure and we miss them so much already!:(

Meet Isla and Nicky - Isla has the same horrible condition as me, she is only 18 months old. Nicky said something to me tonight and its very true - " We may not be family by blood but we are by Genes"

But on a lighter note we had the best 4 days ever, filled with coffee dates and park dates with my little nephew (same age as Isla)

I was a very lousy blogger this week I didn't even manage to get any outfit pics :( I had planned to but just didn't happen we were having so much fun. Though I did find the biggest bargain ever in Tkmax - only a Valentino scarf, I couldn't leave the shop without it an well lets face is Nicky and Lucy were 

the biggest enablers! 

                                           Ahhh I'm sooo in love with it what a beaut!


I have a few product reviews coming up soon - Clarins beauty flash balm, which Nicky got me in to and its craaaaaazy good! :D

& Elizabeth Arden 8 our cream - totally sorted my chapped lips , also another Nicky product!
