Kitchen/Dining renovations part one

Well hasn't it been a hot minute since I last blogged? I've had so many messages about me doing this blog post, I hadn't initially thought about writing one if I'm honest, I didn't think many would be interested in where I got what from and who I got to do XYZ job but here we are.

We always knew when we bought this house four years ago we would want to change everything, at the time we had limited funds and just had to live with what we had, we were already so blessed so have a roof over our heads, so what was a few years with a crappy kitchen!

Excuse the quality I literally found this in the archives of flipping Facebook of all places!

I knew what I wanted from the get go, that was the easy part, finding everything was quite difficult and took a bit of time to source, as many of you know I'm so fussy and would do without before buying something I wasn't truly in love with. Our kitchen was designed by a friend of ours and we couldn't be happier with it, we got it from Tinsdale Furniture in Galgorm. I was adamant that I wanted a larder cupboard as we didn't have any upper units, just the island in the middle for storage, but the larder was the best choice EVER! the drawers underneath are amazing too.

The whole process was faster than I imagined, it was all the snags that took the longest! We just need to buy a new windowsill and the kitchen is complete, wohoo!

Cup handles - Ebay
Kitchen Tiles - Ceramica  They can make any tiles that you want, these ones I had picked came in an oblong shape and I wanted square, the customer service was literally the best we received!
Cupboard door handles - Anthropologie  & The other cupboard handles
Shelves - Ikea
Tap - Amazon
Kitchen units - Parma Grey Farrow and Ball
Wood cladding - My fabulous Dad and Mike!
Flooring - Amtico in black walnut, also purchased from Ceramica
Paint - Valspar Soft Wool
Light Switches - B and Q
Electrics - Chris Wilkinson
Lights - B and Q

Its such a luxury for us to have this kitchen as we both never thought it would be possible to even achieve half of what actually have, a massive thanks to my Daddy, we wouldn't of been able to do half my crazy ideas if it wasn't for your help, knowledge and tools! We love you! x

None of these links are affiliate. Our tiles from Ceramica were kindly gifted.
